Harpswell (ME) Coastal Academy charter school plans to partner with a restaurateur on an offsite dining operation that will both provide meals to students and serve the public as a commercial restaurant, reports the Forecaster. The idea is to develop an operation that takes advantage of both revenue streams to produce a viable operation. The link between the two will be akin to a foodservice contractor relationship, with prepared food delivered to the school by the restaurant, which will operate as an independent entity.
