May 28—Employees of Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield, Wis., have frequently requested more vegetarian and ethnic food options in the hospital cafeteria, and until April, the food service team struggled to meet that need. Then chef Idrees Khamusi contacted Saint Joseph’s Hospital food and linen services director Renee Danhof about job opportunities. Soon, Khamusi was dishing up Indian plate lunches in the hospital cafeteria every Wednesday.
Khamusi said his meals have become popular among hospital staff members of all ethnic backgrounds, including several people who have never tried Indian food before.
