The 138-unit Grand Court Lubbock senior living community in Lubbock, TX, debuted a brand-new enlarged and upgraded kitchen, reports the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. One notable new aspect of the redesigned facility is the “Bistro,” a “kitchen within a kitchen” that will allow dining staff to offer residents a variety of freshly-prepared, cooked to order options at every meal.

Together, the Bistro and the new main kitchen will allow Grand Court Lubbock to greatly expand the daily menu, with all meals served “restaurant-style” and cooked to order. Residents will choose from a daily menu of a few specially-selected featured entrees, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, favorites like chicken fried steak and catfish, and more. Breakfast items, like eggs cooked to order, will be available at every meal service, and there will always be “Optimum Life” menu choices for those seeking heart-healthy fare.
