Metz Culinary Management has promoted Craig Solomon to Senior Vice President of Healthcare, with responsibility for all aspects of the company’s healthcare business.

“Healthcare is one of our fastest growing divisions and Craig leading the team will help us streamline our efforts and ensure consistency and quality for all of our healthcare partners,” says President/CEO Jeff Metz. “Craig has built solid, lasting client relationships by acquiring feedback and developing dining programs that best meet their needs. His promotion is well-deserved and we look forward to the continuing growth of the healthcare division.”

Solomon began working with Metz in 1996 as general manager at Mercy Hospital (now Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospital) in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where he was named Manager of the Year. He was promoted to District Manager in 2001 and named Vice President of Healthcare in 2008.

Prior to joining Metz, Solomon began his management career in healthcare as a retail manager at Mercy Hospital before being promoted to operations manager. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the foodservice and hospitality industry.

“Craig has been so successful because he has exceptional people skills, which gives him the ability to build strong teams within the division as well as the unit level,” says Metz. “He’s also a strategic planner and that has earned him numerous promotions in his career.”
