As the 2023-24 hockey season gets underway, New Jersey Devils fans can taste and sip from a new food and beverage menu as they watch their team compete on the ice.

Levy, the new hospitality partner at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., created “Made in Jersey,” a curated experience that brings Jersey Signatures and local favorites to the arena.

To start, Levy’s culinary team partnered with famed butcher Pat LaFrieda for an exclusive burger concept called Rock’s Smash Burger. On the menu, is a burger named after the concept that features a double beef patty, American cheese, bread and butter pickles, Rock’s sauce and a toasted Calandra’s Bakery bun, a renowned Jersey baker. A Pat La Frieda beef patty is also layered on the Traffic Jam Burger, along with hot pepper bacon jam, crispy Taylor ham (a Jersey specialty) and a deep-fried mac-n-cheese puck.

Other Jersey Signatures include Disco Fries topped with mozzarella, brown gravy and parsley; the Jersey Ripper, a foot-long deep-fried hot dog with secret slaw, grilled peppers and onions, and Jersey jerk relish; and the Honey Hen, a crispy fried chicken breast with hot honey, cheddar and honey butter on toasted brioche.

The Prudential Center is also partnering with local restaurants and brands to deepen connections with the region. Under the Jersey Local banner is BroRitos serving Mexican-inspired fare, Melba’s Soul Food from across the Hudson River in Harlem, and Steels Salt Water Taffy.

On the drinks side, Levy mixed up some signature cocktails that are offered at the concessions. The Heater combines tequila, grapefruit, jalapeno and club soda, while Remy Ginger is a mix of Remy 1738, ginger beer and lime.

There’s also a brand new Prudential Lounge for premium ticket holders. The interactive space will include carving stations, live cooking and a dessert buffet, among other upgrades. The Foundry Bar is also a new addition, located on the concourse for all attendees. The design of the bar, with its metal and steel framework, reflects Newark’s strong industrial past.

The Prudential Center enhancements are part of a multi-year rollout and are not yet complete.
