Hospital Unveils $2.1 Million Redo of Its Cafeteria

New venue boasts a series of made-to-order stations operated by Sodexo under its Fresh Inspirations program.

St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL, unveiled its newly renovated cafeteria on May 7th, reports the State Journal-Register. The $2.1 million redo has transformed the 9,600-sq.ft. eatery into one resembling an upscale restaurant with a cook-to-order series of stations under the Fresh Inspiration brand of dining services provider Sodexo. The St. John's cafeteria operation serves some 3,000 retail meals a day and also prepares around another thousand for delivery to patients.
