Meal delivery is a key area of focus for Jackson Memorial. The hospital currently uses a host/hostess meal delivery model but is considering a move to a restaurant-style room service dining approach to meal preparation and delivery that would allow patients to eat when they desire, creating a more positive nutrition experience.

The primary retail dining venue is the Jackson Food Pavilion on the first floor of the Ira C. Clark Diagnostic Treatment Center, which is open daily for breakfast (6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.), lunch (11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and dinner (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.). The fare includes fresh sushi, wraps, deli sandwiches, grilled items, entrees and specials from an innovation station.
The Pavilion is supplemented on weekdays by an adjacent coffee shop open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. that specializes in Cuban fare, including pastries, croissants, Cuban toast and hot breakfast sandwiches. Coffee selections include café con leche, espresso, colada and cortadito.

A guest meal service lets visitors order and prepay for meals that can be delivered with patient meals by nutrition assistants (guests must show a receipt for the meal at the time of delivery). These orders can be made by meal, by day, in advance or as needed.

*Includes Jackson Memorial Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital, Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital and Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital
