Sept. 16—Time was when the words hospital and dining didn’t go together.
Today, though, the cafeteria at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West is whetting the appetites of visitors, staff and members of the community looking for a healthy, tasty meal.
Hospital officials say area residents are welcome to enjoy culinary creations for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the newly remodeled cafeteria, located on the main level of the nonprofit hospital, at 14502 Meeker Blvd.
Joshua Fels, culinary and nutrition services director for the medical center, said 95 percent of the food served is made in-house from scratch every day. To keep up with the food standard, the cafeteria recently underwent an extensive remodel.
