MIDLAND, Ontario—Just in time for Earth Week, Georgian Bay General Hospital aims to eliminate 907 kilograms of waste from going to the landfill. And that’s just the start.

The hospital’s Green Team – recognizable by neon green T-shirts – will implement a new environmental initiative to divert as much “dietary waste” as possible into recycling and compost systems.
