July 22—More than 4,000 patients have been educated through the Hendrick (Abilene, Texas) Medical Center’s American Diabetes Association-recognized Diabetes Self-Management Program. Hendrick's  program, originally located inside the hospital itself, now has its own freestanding center, which opened in May 2012, said Donna Goble, a certified diabetes educator.
