Cura Hospitality has been celebrating National Nutrition Month (NNM) with a variety of events at the communities it serves.

At Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, Pa., Cura staff have been serving different global dishes each week in celebration of this year’s NNM theme, "A World of Flavors." Most recently, diners tried a variety of dishes from the Caribbean, such as jerk chicken, callaloo, fried plantains and Puerto Rican rice and beans.

Over at Allegheny Healthcare’s West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, guests are being asked to submit their own healthy recipes for a chance to have them featured on the menu in April. Those whose recipes are selected will also receive a gift card.

Residents and staff at nearby Providence Point in Pittsburgh have been celebrating the month with a wellness education infomercial campaign featuring Cura Dietitian Jillian Wagner and Cura Supervisor James Masilunas.

Celebrations have also been underway at Asbury Heights, a senior-living community also located in Pittsburgh. Cura Registered Dietitian Courtney Alberts has been educating residents on wellness, and residents have been able to try different healthy recipes from Cura’s BeWell Program, such as Thai chili shrimp poke.
