Sodexo—foodservice vendor at Johnson State College—has closed the campus’ Mountaintop Market convenience store because of its inconvenient location, noting 70 percent of its customers were staff, not students, reports Basement Medicine.

Tom Fondakowski, general manager of JSC’s Sodexo branch, said that in the past two years the convenience store had seen a decline in use, says Basement Medicine.

Due to the convenience store’s closing, the student union’s café, Common Grounds, is adding sandwiches, milkshakes, smoothies and some of the options formerly available at the Market.
