Sarah Lockyer will join Winsight as its senior vice president of content, reporting to Chief Content Officer Grey Montgomery, effective Feb. 1. She will oversee the content strategy development and execution for Winsight’s suite of media products—CSP, Restaurant Business, FoodService Director and Convenience Store Products magazines and associated websites—along with content planning for Winsight Events and Technomic products.
Lockyer is a marquee addition for Winsight, having spent the past four years as executive director of content for Penton’s Food & Restaurant Group, which includes Nation’s Restaurant News, Restaurant Hospitality, Food Management and Supermarket News. While at Penton, Lockyer was responsible for content strategy and operations, with a focus on digital growth.
“Sarah enjoys a wealth of high-profile contacts in all sides of the industry, notably in chain leadership roles,” Montgomery said.
Montgomery said that Lockyer’s chain expertise will be critical as Winsight expands to better serve quick-service chain operators, via new launches such as Global Restaurant Leadership Conference and a series of new products coming from Technomic.
“She will be critical in our push to be the information leader in commercial foodservice—both independents and emerging chains, as well as established chains—and her experience and vision leading large content organizations will help us extend share for CSP, FSD and our leadership events,” Montgomery said.
In her new role, Lockyer will be focused on continuing Winsight’s rapid digital media growth and its integration efforts with Technomic and Winsight’s media and events properties, Montgomery said.
