Trinity Health has brought its farm share program back for its 10th year.

The program, which offers a weekly or bi-weekly box with six to eight locally sourced produce items, is available at both the Trinity Health Ann Arbor and Trinity Health Oakland hospital campuses.

“Since 2014, The Farm at Trinity Health has been connecting people to fresher, more local produce through Farm Shares. Farm Share members report improved quality of life and greater consumption of fruits and vegetables,” said Trinity Health, in a statement.

The boxes are packed with produce dependent on the season—during Spring, members may find items like spinach, radishes, lettuce and peas. During Summer, members will find produce such as tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers. During the Fall, boxes may include carrots, onions, beets and garlic.

The program offers a variety of membership types and payment options—members can opt for an annual pass or choose individual seasons. In addition, members can use SNAP or EBT benefits at a 75% discount. The program also offers a sliding scale payment option that allows members to pay different rates depending on their income.

In an effort to combat food insecurity the Farm at Trinity Health also offers a free box to those experiencing economic hardships.
