April 18—Roughly half the Los Angeles teachers surveyed about their district’s year-old breakfast in the classroom program say they’ve seen an increase in schoolroom bugs and rodents since the rollout, and 78 percent said the service takes longer than the 10 minutes allotted—two of the main reasons they give the initiative a thumbs-down.

Half also said they would support BIC if sanitation issues were resolved and 88 percent said they wanted students fed in the cafeteria and not the classroom.
