The School Nutrition Association of Pennsylvania has named Jillian Meloy, food service director at Greater Latrobe School District, its 2015 Director of the Year, reports triblive.com.

The award is given to school nutrition directors for the contributions they have made throughout their career, according to the SNA’s website.

Meloy has served at GLSD for 11 years. During her tenure she has done a number of things, including getting feedback from students about what they would and would not like to see on the menus, the website says.

“Your clients are the kids,” Meloy said. “They really have a voice in what they want to eat, what they like, what they don't like.”
