Food management company SAGE Dining partnered with Innovation Works, a business networking company, to offer a training program to the foodservice vendors at the recently renovated Lexington Market in Baltimore.

The program covered topics such as scheduling, menu creation, food purchasing, and pricing and portioning items. Vendors also received one-on-one mentorship from SAGE senior executives on procurement, financial management and more.

“SAGE is so proud to be a part of this project that supports small businesses,” said Tina Rodriguez, SAGE co-founder, chief financial officer and general counsel, in a statement. “We hope our mentorship and training will help foster new business opportunities, as well as continue to develop communities in and around Baltimore.”

Rodriguez also serves as vice chair on Innovation Works' board.

Lexington Market now includes space for just under 50 vendors. A variety of food and cuisines are represented, including fried chicken, artisan coffee and Jamaican fare.
