Jan. 17—The Genesee County Nursing Home will stop serving meals in its employee cafeteria and replace them with food from vending machines, under a recommendation made Wednesday by the county’s Ways & Means Committee.

Nursing Home administrator Christine Schaller proposed the change as a way to cut costs. Morrison Food Services, the company that prepares meals for residents of the skilled nursing facility, also sells food out of the cafeteria.
