Serving more than 100 schools and about 76,000 meals a day, it’s “quite a lift” balancing the needs of all students at Fulton County Schools in Georgia, says Executive Director of School Nutrition Alyssia Wright.
Knowing “the why” behind the department’s mission and keeping that top of mind is key to the team's success, she says.
“I want every student in Fulton County to eat with us,’” she says, noting that high food quality and menu variety (up to 15 entree choices at the high school level daily) are non-negotiables.
