Wichita Public Schools is rolling out its new Build Your Own Lunch program this week, according to KMUW.org.

The new dining option is available once a week and features several items including hamburgers, burritos and noodle bowls. Susan Arensman, WPS’ spokesperson, says after students choose the base of their meal, they can even add chicken or cheese.

"Obviously if they make it themselves they are more likely to eat it, so that is a great way for them to get involved with their lunches and to eat what they want,” Arensman said.
