Dallas ISD switches to finger foods due to supply chain issues
Finger foods will be served on select days of the week to cut back on flatware use.

Dallas Independent School District is now serving finger foods on select days due to challenges with procuring flatware.
The district posted on its news website that breakfast served on Tuesdays and Thursdays and lunch served on Tuesdays at all grade levels will now consist of finger foods so that no flatware is needed.
The new rules do not apply to select high schools serving a hot breakfast, and students who require flatware will have access to some.
During times when flatware is used, students will be limited to one set per meal.
