South Seattle College’s culinary program is serving more than one purpose, according to King5.com.

Students in the program not only receive hands-on restaurant experience—from learning how to cook professionally to running a restaurant—but also serve up French-inspired dishes for less than $10 at Alhadeff Grill, SCC’s campus restaurant.

Carolyn Sellers, a student in the culinary program, told King5 that until she started the program, she believed she was a good cook.

"I started this program and realized how much I didn't know. I've definitely come a long way," Sellars said.
