Chartwells Higher Ed is hosting its first of four signature Joy-Ful events later this month with celebrity chef Jet Tila.

Students at 300 of Chartwells’ affiliated colleges and universities will gather on Sept. 24 for a street festival hosted at their respective campus, featuring street food, games and more.

The flagship event will be held at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, La., where Tila will host and judge LSU’s first-ever jambalaya competition. Six chefs will take part, and the contest will be livestreamed on Chartwells' Instagram page.

Students at each participating school will also be able to give back to their communities during the street fest through food drives and social media give-backs.

The street fest is part of Chartwells Higher Ed’s Joy-Ful campaign, which is aimed creating a sense of community on college campuses through food-focused, in-person events for students.
