Pilot program “Ready, Set, Grow” (the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council) has coordinated donations of blueberry bushes to school gardens in New Jersey, Florida, Oregon and California. The bushes, donated by local growers and nurseries, come with planting and care instructions.

“Our children are fascinated by how they grow and can't wait to taste the blueberries,” says Gail Damiano, garden coordinator at Veterans Memorial Elementary School in Brick, NJ.
