2025 FAME award winners announced
Bertrand Weber, director of culinary & wellness services at Minneapolis Public Schools, received the Golden Foodservice Director of the Year Award, FAME’s most prestigious honor.
The recipients of the 2025 FAME Awards have been announced. The annual awards program, which is put on by Basic American Foods, honors the best and the brightest in school nutrition.
This year, Bertrand Weber director of culinary & wellness services at Minneapolis Public Schools, received the Golden Foodservice Director of the Year Award, FAME’s most prestigious honor.
These school nutrition operators also received the following awards:
Silver Leadership Award: Katie Cossette, MDA, RDN, SNS, Director of Nutrition Services & Warehouse, St. Vrain Valley Schools
Silver Rising Star Award: Kaci Kelly, Director of Child Nutrition, Ocean Springs School District
Silver Spirit Award: Alicia Arnett, Menu Planning & Food Procurement Specialist, Jefferson County Public Schools
“Every year, we continue to be inspired by the incredible achievements of school nutrition professionals who support our school food programs. We are honored to partner with the K-12 foodservice segment and celebrate the accomplishments of these individuals,” said Nicole Strohman, chief commercial officer of Basic American Foods, in a statement.
The award recipients will be formally honored early next year at the School Nutrition Association’s (SNA) School Nutrition Industry Conference (SNIC) taking place January 19-21 in Phoenix. A member of the FoodService Director editorial team was part of the selection committee.
