Fiscal 2014 Revenues: $201,000,000

Even as it celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2014, Metz was realigning and bolstering its management to deal with a growth rate that boosted revenues almost 25 percent in the past year. Much of the expansion came in the South, especially in the states of Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

New roles were created for VPs Dennis Daley, Craig Solomon and Jim Dickson to oversee specific segments and also added were DMs responsible for directing and supporting the colleges/independent schools business and operations in Florida.

The growth in Florida has allowed Metz to continue partnerships with major brands like Chick-fil-A, Tropical Smoothie, Pizza Hut, Wing Shop, Great Wraps and Subway, bringing them to Polk State College, Hillsborough CC and Florida A&M University.

The new EAT (Engage, Analyze, Transform) program for higher ed accounts extends Metz’s “TASTE” initiative by having students research various food topics they want to improve and implement in the dining hall.

Also  expanded is the Super Naturals “super foods” menu initiative, into various salads, soups and entrées.
