Kevin Spinner has been named residential dining executive chef at Binghamton University, in New York.

Spinner brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to Binghamton University dining services, which is operated by Sodexo. Classically trained by chefs in Germany and Italy while serving in the United States Air Force, after completing his tour of duty, Spinner continued his culinary career in the kitchens of upstate New York restaurants.

Spinner shifted into the non-commercial segment by taking a position at Syracuse University, “where he quickly became a supervisor of a dining unit,” according to a university press release. He then moved on to manage the kosher dining facility and retail dining operations at Cornell University, while earning his executive chef certification from the American Culinary Federation.
