UMass Tabs DiStefano to Head Residential Dining

The University of Massachusetts at Amherst has named Garett DiStefano director of residential dining following a lengthy national search. he will report to Executive Director of Auxiliary Enterprises Ken Toong, along with Retail Dining Director David Eichstaedt. A longtime veteran of the restaurant and financial industries, DiStefano joined UMass two years ago as an area manager for the Berkshire Dining Commons.

"I have confidence that Garett will be successful in his new role, with his extensive retail experience as we continue to enhance our program,"Says Toong.

UMass Dining Services manages one of the largest college dining program in the country, with more than 16,000 students on meal plans and over 40,000 daily meals served generating annual revenues of over $70 million.
