A study by the Orange County (CA) Register found that schools and hospitals in the region score significantly better on food safety than commercial restaurants. Based on the ABC rating system used by Los Angeles County and surrounding counties, 96 percent of the 581 school cafeterias and 86 percent of the 107 hospitals inspected by the Orange County Health Care Agency would score an A, as opposed to only 57 percent of restaurants.
