A pair of robot chefs serving patrons in a Chinese restaurant may be the herald of a new age in QSR operations, according to a report by the Indo-Asian News Service. At Wishdoing restaurant in Shanghai, the units cook eight different dishes, taking only about three minutes from prep through plating. Wishdoing, a QSR chain, says it plans to install the robot cooks in all 100 of its outlets despite a per-unit cost of over $30,000.
