Ohio State University Dining Services is making halal burgers and hot dogs available at its Union Market grill, reports the school's Lantern campus paper. The Union Market is a food court in Ohio Union. Halal meats are prepared according to directives laid down in the Koran and are the only kind permitted to be eaten by observant Muslims. The meat is being provided by distributor Restaurant Depot, which secures it from a certified halal processor.
