North Carolina State University Dining plans to open a full-service food court on the school’s Centennial Campus in March 2011. The facility, to be named Innovation Cafe, the winning entry in a campus naming contest, will feature a Chick-fil-A and a rotating menu of freshly prepared items that will include a salad bar, deli, pasta, stir-fry and more. It will also have an indoor seating area for 225 and outdoor seating for 60.

“Innovation Café is a fitting name for the facility and the naming competition was a great way to get Centennial Campus involved in the process,” says Randy Lait, director of dining services. “We look forward to the facility and providing Centennial with a variety of food options until the permanent facility is constructed.”

Innovation Cafe will help bridge the gap to the opening of permanent 15,000-sq.ft. dining space that will be part of a student apartment complex scheduled to open by 2014.
