Mets, Concessions Operator in Dispute Over Kosher Rules

A federal judge in New York must decide whether a vendor can sell kosher food during New York Mets major league baseball games at Citi Field that fall on the Jewish Sabbath, reports UPI. The operator of the stand in question, Kosher Sports, Inc., says the Mets banned sales between sundown on Fridays and sundown on Saturdays in accordance with Sabbath traditions. The Mets, however, say concessionaire Aramark is responsible for the rules. Kosher Sports says its contract does permit it to sell its fare at every game at Citi Field.
