The University of Colorado has agreed to a 10-year contract with Levy Restaurants to provide catering and concessions at the school's Folsom Field campus stadium and the Coors Events Center campus arena. The 53,613-seat Folsom Field and the 11,064-seat Coors Center are the main home venues for CU's Buffalos sports teams, which play in the Pacific 12 Conference.
In addition to managing all game day and non-game day food and beverage operations for Folsom Field, Levy will also oversee the hospitality requirements of both the planned north end zone club in the stadium and the northeast terrace in CU’s Athletic Complex Expansion, which is expected to break ground later this spring with a target completion date of August 2015. As part of the multi-million dollar renovation project, Levy and CU will partner to design a customized experience for fans that also includes a refresh of concessions areas.
“We are excited about our partnership with Levy,” says Athletic Director Rick George. “They are known in this industry for the quality of their food and their hospitality is excellent. We are looking forward to new opportunities as we begin our long-term relationship with Levy.”
“We love CU’s commitment to creating great fan experiences and share their strategic vision to bring them to a new level through food and hospitality,” says Levy President/CEO Andy Lansing. “We are thrilled to work together in every aspect, from broadening culinary offers, being mindful of campus sustainability and welcoming guests with hospitality that embodies the pride of the University of Colorado.”
The 10-year contract commences April 1, 2014, and includes an option to extend after five years.
