More than a hundred vendors participated in a food fair at Google's Mountain View, CA, headquarters, vying for favor from Google employees who sampled their products because it might mean earning a spot as an official supplier to the company's 150 break kitchens, reports the Monterey Herald. Votes were transmitted using a smartphone app and would be used by Google's in-house foodservice team to help decide what products to contract for. The selections included chocolates, popcorn, energy drinks, toffee, nuts, fruit snacks and various beverages.
