The casual dining area in the new headquarters of social media giant Twitter will feature a pair of homesteader log cabins from the 1800s as "rooms within a room" in the seating section, reports the Marin Independent Journal. The new Twitter headquarters is in the historic 1937 art deco Western Furniture Exchange & Merchandise Mart building in San Francisco's Mid-Market neighborhood, which is being remodeled for the high-tech tenant. The 20' by 20' cabins, salvaged from a couple of remote Montana ranches, are made of old lodge pole pine logs and will provide some intimate space to what is otherwise a wide-open communal area on the gutted floor of the old furniture mart adjacent to the facility's @Birdfeeder Cafe.
