A brand new 35,000-sq.ft., 1,077-seat addition to Virginia Tech’s campus dining program, Turner Place offers a mix of three national brand (Bruegger’s Bagels, Jamba Juice, Qdoba Mexican Grill) and five internal brand food outlets over two levels. The internal concepts include a pizza concept using a wood burning oven, a charbroiler/grill that burns real hardwood, and a Japense sushi/steakhouse with four teppanyaki flat-surface grills. Each concept has its own distinctive “look” and is unique to Turner.

The facility, which replaces an aging traditional dining hall at another location, sits in an underserved section of campus close to classrooms and parking, ideal for attracting the school’s thousands of commuter students. The result has been a jump in overall dining program transactions of around 12% for the year, as Turner has generated more than 50,000 transactions a week despite being open only weekdays.
