Parents of children attending schools in Somerset County, England, will be kept updated on the school meal menu via the Twitter social networking site starting this year. Part of an interactive website, the system will allow interaction, so parents can reply with their comments about the choices.

The parents have to subscribe to the service, which will then provide a daily school menu update, as well as notices about theme days, special events and application information about signing up for subsidized meals. Somerset has 88 school sites.
