A recent study reported on the Food Channel CultureWaves website purports to show that other people start to look more attractive to those who have had a few drinks.

No kidding, really? Say, that must be why they serve booze rather than milkshakes at singles bars. Who knew?

The study had volunteers take a drink — some with alcohol and some without — and then rate the attractiveness of 20 male and 20 female faces. Apparently, the ones who got alcoholic drinks were more generous in their ratings by about 10 percent. Bet that ratio goes up even further with a few more drinks until people are ready to go home with an iguana.
