Bunge creates oils division

St. Louis—Bunge North America announced yesterday that it is realigning its oilseed processing and food divisions to create a food oils sales organization that focuses on the food processor and foodservice markets and consolidates refined oil sales into a single entity. Doug Sparks, most recently senior vp-sales for Bunge Canada, has been named vp-foodservice sales/marketing with responsibility for all North American foodservice sales.

“The creation of Bunge Oils is a natural evolution of the Central Soya and CanAmera acquisition, which gave Bunge a market position in food oils,” says Thad Jones, senior vp/general manager of Bunge Oils. In addition to Sparks, Bunge named Gary Chenoweth vp-food processor sales and John Jansen vp-product/sales support.
