In some competitions, it pays to go nuts. In terms of recipes, presentation and silly YouTube videos, culinary students definitely got crazy for the recent Student Innovation contest by the National Peanut Board. The competitors traveled from their home campus of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., to the school’s West Coast campus in Napa Valley to compete. Here are the finalists’ dishes and recipes, proving that the culinary future is bright (and a little nutty).
