Marriner Marketing Communications has added Brenda Fried as director of business development. With more than 20 years of brand management experience, Fried began her foodservice career with Mobil Chemical Co.'s Plastic Packaging Division (now Pactiv Corp.), which manufactured foodservice disposables.

Additional marketing and foodservice industry insights were gained while with The Chinet Co., GOJO Industries, Inc., and Produce for Better Health Foundation. Most recently Fried served as the vice president of marketing at Frymaster.

Fried also leveraged her expertise in strategic planning, brand management and new product development from ideation through commercialization to support national account initiatives with McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, KFC, Sysco, US Foods and Gordon Foodservice.

"We are very pleased to have Brenda as a part of our growing team of industry experts," says Marriner President Tighe Merkert. "She brings to our organization a wide variety of marketing management experience and a unique perspective with her many years in the industry. She knows first-hand how important a strong agency partner can be for a customer in building influential brands."

"Throughout my time in the industry, I'd heard so many positive things about Marriner as an agency, it was only natural they were my next career move," Fried adds. "I look forward to making the most use of my past experience to connect prospective clients with the Marriner team's proven ability to apply clarity and creativity in making their brands successful."
