This no-alcohol version of a bloody Mary has such a complex flavor profile, the traditional vodka is not at all missed. In addition to the requisite tomato juice, Gloria’s Restaurant & Bar adds red jalapeno puree, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper and ginger to the mix. Over-the-top garnishes make a dramatic presentation.

Ingredients

¼ oz. red jalapeno puree, thawed

5 oz. tomato juice

½ oz. soy sauce

½ oz. fresh lime juice

Dash Maggi sauce

4 drops sesame oil

Pinch salt

Pinch black pepper

Pinch ground ginger

Red jalapeno, cherry tomato, celery, lime slice, onion and or toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Steps

  1. In bowl or container, whisk all ingredients to blend well.

  2. Roll rim of tall glass in salt and fill with ice. Pour tomato juice mixture over ice; garnish as desired.
