West Virginia University (WVU) has teamed up with celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez on a new dining station for students.

The partnership will bring Sánchez’s expertise and recipes to Adobo Cantina, which is set to open next semester.  

Sánchez has starred in multiple Food Network shows, including “Chopped,” and currently serves as a judge on Fox’s “MasterChef” and “MasterChef Junior.” Sánchez is also the chef and owner of Johnny Sánchez restaurant in Louisiana.

 “Chef Sánchez has been a great partner for this initiative because he knows authentic Mexican food and he’s passionate about cooking,” said Michael Dahl, WVU dining services district manager, in a statement. “As we continue to strive to be the best campus dining program, initiatives like Adobo Cantina will help create a dynamic and exciting dining experience. We know many students love Mexican cuisine, so we’re providing that in a big way.”

Adobo Cantina will feature a revolving menu of Mexican fare with a modern twist. The station will be located in the central grill area of the dining hall.
