The College of William & Mary has begun requiring students starting with the Class of 2015 who live on campus to purchase a meal plan. Previously, only freshmen had this requirement. The school's Flat Hat campus paper reports that the increased revenues are enabling the dining services department to initiate an $8 million expansion/renovation of its Sadler Center facilities. William & Mary's dining services are currently operated by Aramark, but its contract is up at the end of this school year unless it is renewed.
Starting next fall, upperclassmen with required meal plans will have a greater range of options, including a number of block plans currently not offered.
