Pennsylvania State University football players can now re-fuel before and after practices at the Lasch Football Nutrition Bar.

The nutrition bar—which features a variety of foods including fruits, nuts, bread, bagels, milk, smoothies and other high-protein, high-carb snacks—opened about a month ago in the renovated Lasch Football building, reports Penn State News.

Officials say the bar was necessary to maximize their student-athlete’s nutrition.

"When we stocked the nutrition bar for the first time, it was beyond everyone's expectations… The athletes love it. It's been an overwhelmingly positive response," Assistant Athletic Director for Performance Enhancement Dwight Galt told The News.
