Students at Temple University in Philadelphia may see an increase in meal plan prices due to the city’s new sugary drink tax, The Temple News reports.

Although students will not see meal plan costs go up for the upcoming spring semester, the university is working with its foodservice provider, Aramark, to see how the tax will affect plan prices for the next school year.

The tax, which goes into effect at the start of 2017, will increase the price of sweetened beverages such as sodas and sports drinks by 1.5 cents per ounce.
