The University of Minnesota lost almost $16,000 last year on alcohol sales at football games at its 51,000-seat on-campus TCF Bank Stadium, reports local station KTTC. Despite selling more than $900,000 worth of beer and wine, costs associated with security, setup and equipment rental—plus the fee owed to concessionnaire Aramrk—put sales in the red. The school says it should turn a small profit next season since about $30,000 of the expenses were one-time costs.
