Sodexo to Operate KSU Catering, Retail

Sodexo will take over operation of catering and retail dining services at Kansas State University starting January 1st, reports the Kansas State Collegian campus paper. Current catering/retail services management company Chartwells notified the school earlier this month that it was exercising its right to terminate its contract early due to financial pressures.

Sodexo, which came in second behind Chartwells when the contract was originally awarded a year and a half ago, already provides catering and concession services for K-State Athletics. Under the new deal, it will manage food services at all current dining locations, including the Student Union, Hale Library and the Child Development Center.
