Sodexo is bringing robot delivery to four more colleges as campuses ramp up for the coming school year.

New Mexico State University, Loyola Marymount University in California and Gonzaga University in Washington will each be getting a fleet of deliverers through a partnership with robotics company Kiwibot, while Starship Technologies is providing the robots for Sodexo’s dining program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida.

At all four campuses, students can use their meal plans to order food for robot delivery, and purchases can be made via app.

“Not only do we get to add this innovative new service option, but Starship Delivery also hires many students to handle the programming and maintenance for these autonomous machines, which is a perfect fit for students in Engineering and Robotics programs,” Embry-Riddle’s Associate Vice President for Facilities Kevin Kreide said in a statement.

The Kiwibot deliveries come with a flat fee of $2, plus an additional 10% of the order.
